Should we celebrate Christmas?

1.I believe that we should celebrate Christmas  because we can speed time with our family and friends.

2. Christmas is literally “the mass for Christ”, the day on which Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus. The western date for Jesus' birth is quite arbitrary. It was chosen by Pope Leo I, bishop of Rome (440-461), to coincide with the Festival of the Saturnalia, when Romans worshiped Saturn, the sun god. 

3. What is the Purpose of celebrating Christmas? Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God. The name 'Christmas' comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus). A Mass service (which is sometimes called Communion or Eucharist) is where Christians remember that Jesus died for us and then came back to life.

4.What is Christmas and why is it important? On the 1st December advent begins, this is the time leading up to Christmas day, Jesus' birthday. It is very important because this is when God came to Earth in human form as Jesus. Jesus is God's son. Christians believe he is the saviour; he came down to Earth to forgive his people of their sins.

5.What is Jesus real birthday? The earliest source stating 25 December as the date of birth of Jesus is likely by Hippolytus of Rome, written very early in the 3rd century, based on the assumption that the conception of Jesus took place at the Spring equinox which he placed on 25 March.

Fireworks Poem

Fireworks

Bang!! Goes the fireworks going up the sky, 

People are hoping that it won’t blow up in their face.

Parents shout “ Don’t come near!”,

Kids usually cannot hear.  

Flickering flames dance in sight, 

With Rockets blasting of in the night.

POP and WIZZ the fireworks go, 

When Children go near parents shout “No!”

The fireworks are so loud, 

As they whoosh into the clouds.

The bonfire creates  lots of smoke,

Which sometimes make you choke.
